Hello Coaches,
I am Emily Moore, and I would like to start by stating fastpitch softball is my passion! I do not know what I would do without the game I love. I'm currently a 17 year-old junior, and I have been playing the game for eight years. I always keep in mind, "I've always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come" -Michael Jordan. My primary position is a catcher. During my sophomore year of high school, I was the starting catcher for the Varsity Lady Redskins at Morris Community High School in Morris, IL. At the end of the season, I received the First Team All-Conference Honors award, the Most-Improved award, the First Team All-Area recognition, and I was an Honorable Mention in the Joliet Herald Newspaper. We were proudly the regional champions, and we made it to the sectional championship game! When I'm not behind the plate, I play left field. I am also a utility player and can play third base very well. I strongly believe I can play wherever a coach may put me. I had my first walk off home run on April 25 against Rochelle, Illinois. I am very proud of my high school freshman year playing accomplishments. I played most of the season on junior varsity, but had the opportunity to experience the varsity level on numerous occasions. One of my first of five home runs in the 2013 high school season was during a varsity game. This home run, during the varsity game, is my most memorable moment to date. During the fall and summer season I will be playing with the Joliet Dirt Devils 16u Elite team. I'm a competitor who loves to win and will fight through any and all adversity, mental or physical, to win with my team. My goal is to continue playing the game I love at the collegiate level after high school. I work hard year round, listen and respect my coaches, lead by example, and I feel my dreams of playing competitive college softball will become a reality with continued hard work on the field and in the classroom. Thank you for your time and viewing my profile.
