Megen Johnson '18 Recruiting Profile

As a freshman I was nominated for Leadership and skills class. This class was very important to me because it helped me stand out in school and on the field.  At school I work very hard to keep up with my school work during both seasons of school sports that I play. Basketball and Softball along with my travel team. I also participate in school activities like powder puff, coin drives, and donating back to others.   

My freshman year of High School softball, we drove our way to the sectional championship and lost. After putting up a really tough fight, the game changed how I play.  After that game I looked at my stats and made those efforts to make myself a better player. It helped me on and off the field. Off the field: I realized that no matter how you set your goals,  there will always be more to life then just winning that game.  There's more to everything than just winning the day.  On the field: You have to take it one inning one pitch at a time, or one at bat at a time. The more you focus and believe good things will happen.
