If I had to describe myself, I would say I'm a dedicated person on and off the field. I have always pushed myself to strive for the best in order to be the best I can be either as a player or academically. I have an interest in the medical field because I enjoy working with others and want to help those in need. I find the medical field as being challenging, forever changing and fascinating. My current GPA and honors and AP classes reflect my determination to pursue this dream. My love of the game has brought me to this decision to pursue my dream of playing college softball. Softball has been an integral part of my life for the past 10 years. Whether on the mound pitching my heart out, or on the bench cheering on my team my goal is to put 100% into the game that I love.
My dream is to pursue a degree in the medical field. I have always had a passion to want to help others. I have watched my parents who are both in the medical field strive to make others' lives better. I am interested in sports medicine and have spent time shadowing sports medicine doctors, physician assistants and nurses.
I have always been a multi-sport athlete. Playing both volleyball and softball not only for my high school teams but also travel teams in both sports. I feel I am able to multitask, I am organized and have learned the art of time management while being a student athlete. I train year round with my pitching coach, Shannon Lindgren and batting coach, Erik Lis from the Quarry Fieldhouse in Romeoville, IL. When not practicing with my team or with my trainers, I practice on my own 3 days a week to keep my skills sharp and to apply what I have learned in practice or in my training sessions.
