Hannah McCall '16 Recruiting Profile

I am Hannah McCall, and I approach softball in the same way I approach every activity in my life: with 100% dedication. There is not a day that goes by that I am not practicing my swing in the mirror, spinning a ball under my desk in class, or pitching by the light of the streetlamps long after the sun has set. For me, softball has a way of putting me in the best mood possible, and rarely will you see me playing without a smile on my face (teammates and coaches know me as "the smiley one").

Academically, I give the same effort in the classroom as I do on the field. I challenge myself with the most difficult courses offered at my high school, and have thus far never received less than an A in any class. I adore math, and plan to major in astrophysics.

At a collegiate level, I aspire to play with a team of girls who see this game the way I do and play with the same level of passion and dedication. Whether at Division 1, 2, or 3, I am searching for an upbeat and enthusiastic team atmosphere at an academically competitive school.

There is nothing I would love more than to get the chance to play the game I love while pursuing a degree. I am confident that, if given the chance, I would better any team with my leadership skills, on-field abilities, and unfaltering positive attitude.
