Personal Statement

I am a 3rd year varsity starter in softball at Fairfield High School. My freshman year I started in the outfield on our IHSA 2A Elite 8 team and hit .403 in the 7th spot in that order. My sophomore year I started at 2nd base and hit lead off where I hit .421.  My junior year I hit in the three spot hitting .505 with 21 RBI's and 19 stolen bases. I can play all 3 outfield positions, second base and shortstop. I am a slapper that can hit anywhere in the lineup that my coach places me. My sophomore and junior years I led my team in hitting and made the 2016 and 2017 First Team All-Conference Team in Softball in the Black Diamond Conference. My junior year I was named the 2017 Female Athlete of the Year at FCHS. I play sound fundamental defense and run the bases aggressively, but smart. I am a team player that wants to play softball at the college level. I also play softball in the summer for the Indiana Heartbreakers out of Newburg, Indiana - Mike Joest is my coach. I work toward common team goals and always aspire to make my team better. I make good grades, work hard, and strive to be a great teammate. My desire is to get a college education thru softball, while helping my team be successful. My major is undecided at this time, but I am interested in Nursing or Psychology. I am a 3 year varsity starter and 3-time Varsity letter winner in volleyball where I play OH and back row defense. I made First Team All -Conference in the BDC in 2016 and 2017 for volleyball. I also was named to the 2017 Southern Illinois Coaches Association All South Team. I also start varsity basketball on my high school team, as a shooting guard. In 2017, my team won the Black Diamond Conference in Basketball. As part of the IHSA 3- Point Contest, I won at the Regional level and advanced representing my team in the IHSA Country Companies 3 point shoot at the Sectional level. I pride myself on playing good defense and helping my team be successful, however I possibly can.  I want to win. Whatever,  my team needs me to do for us to win, I will work totally toward that task. Thank you for your interest in me.
