Tara Nikolich '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Tara Nikolich and I am in my junior year at Resurrection College Prep High School in Chicago, Illinois. I will be graduating in spring of 2017. I am a middle infielder, outfielder, and pitcher. I focus mostly on middle infield but I am also used as a utility. I bat lefty and throw righty.I usually hit-away, but I am also able to lay down a slap or bunt. I have a cumulative GPA of a 4.763 out of 5.0. My ACT composite score is a 25 but will be retaken in June. I am going into my eigth year of travel softball; however, I have played softball since I was in kindergarten. 

My goal is to play college softball for a highly competitive team and to get a great college education. I would like to major in pharmacy, so a school that offers a good program is very important to me. Balancing being a full-time athlete and a full-time student is important to me as well. I have been on the honor Roll every semester.I am inspired by my older sister who played college softball, my older brother who is currently playing in college and my parents who coached me in soccer, basketball and softball. I have also been very fortunate to have been trained by some of the area's best hitting, fielding and pitching coaches.I have loved the game of softball my whole life and my dream has always been to play at a higher level. Softball has become my true passion and I love getting out of bed every day knowing that I get to go play the best game ever invented.
