Cassidy Weaver '20 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a sophomore in high school and have always loved playing competitive softball. I have learned all the positions and have focused mostly on catching and 1st/3rd base in recent years. Playing on a nationally ranked team is my ultimate goal.

Academically I do well and currently have a 3.9 GPA. I am a member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars. Being a physical therapist is something I would like to pursue. It feels rewarding to help others. 

Pushing myself is something I am very good at. Whether I am on the field or in the classroom, I work very hard and have high expectations of myself. Challenges and adversity help me work harder. It is important to me to work with coaches and teammates who also have high standards and expectations.

My family is a softball family. My parents met while playing in a tournament. We have played and watched softball as long as I can remember. 

My friends would describe me as tough, loyal, straightforward, and someone who always has their back. They look to me for advice. Teammates see me as a role model because of my work ethics and toughness.
