BrookeLinn Beatty '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is BrookeLinn Beatty. I am a 5'5", 167 lb., Senior at Kahuku High School on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. I'm a primary outfielder as well as a left handed pitcher. I am ambidextrous when it comes to batting. I throw with my dominant left hand but I bat on the right side. I can also slap when needed. I am a friendly, active, and athletic person. My high school ball team has been improving year by year. Our season in Spring 2010 was my most accomplished season. We made it all the way to districts but fell short of a championship. I am very determined when it comes to the sport of softball. I make sure that everybody is being productive at practices and not playing around. I can offer my leadership skills to college teams, as a junior on the varsity team I helped out the captains by making sure that I was a good example by hustling on and off the field.To be able to be recruited and play softball on the collegiate level is a goal I am currently working really hard for. It is one of my biggest dreams! I would like to attend a college preferably on the West Coast and anywhere down in the South. I am looking at any college that has a softball team, and a available major in journalism, if the college has these two programs available I am up to attending them for college. I am a organized and determined student when it comes to my academics. I am interested in majoring in journalism, or any related to journalism. My athletic goal is to compete in softball at the collegiate level.
