My collegiate goals are to be satisfied with what I personally have been working hard for my whole life. I want to be given the tools to success and in order to be given the best tools out there, I need to earn that opportunity to explore and use those tools to my advantage. In my family nothing was given. Everything I have right now was earned from hard work and dedication.
As and individual I picked up to be a coach to myself as others would coach me. I am a visual learner and will try to the best of my ability to fulfill the tasks that are given to me. Although I might not agree with those tasks, I was taught to keep an open mind about the techniques I learn from others because even though I might not agree with the technique as a whole, I can pick bits and pieces from that and put it into my routines to make me a better ball player.
We are student-athletes and not athlete-students, meaning school comes first. I take that term very seriously, as well as my family. Being from a Catholic school, the days are long especially when its season. So from transitioning from a public school to private school, I've learned to manage my time more wisely and I know that this will definitely benefit me when I transfer to college and the real world.
