Since I was a little girl I have always been interested in competing. When my parents made me choose between sports and dance at the age of six, with no hesitation, I chose sports. I wanted to compete and sports allowed me to do so. I have been competing in softball since I was four and basketball since I was six. Both sports have helped me to understand the meaning of a team. At a young age, I realized that a team won't work unless everyone contributes. If we work together to achieve a common goal and give it all we have, then the wins will come, and even if a loss is the result, then we gain a reason to try harder. I fell in love with team sports because of this!
My goal is to play college softball and eventually earn a degree in Physical Therapy. Therefore, I am interested in a Kinesiology or a related degree for my undergraduate education. My performance during my undergraduate years is very important as I will have to apply for Physical Therapy programs. I value my education and take it very seriously as I currently have a weighted GPA of 4.14. I work hard in the classroom and on the softball field. Softball is my passion!! I have put a great amount of time into softball whether it is with my club team or on my own. I am a utility player, which is evidence of my flexibility as a player and willingness to do whatever my coaches ask. I am a team player that will do whatever it takes to help the team. I believe that the only way I will get better is to have some structure, put in time on the diamond, and play with heart. I want a chance to show you that I have the determination, heart, and competitivenes to make a positive influence on your team!
