Family, education and softball are the top priorities in my life. I do my best to make time for each one of these areas because I feel that they all contribute to the person that I am now and who I hope to be in the future. My family is a sports minded family. My mom and dad have both played softball and they have helped me throughout the years to work on my skills. They have been there to support me through all of my seasons of softball and it has meant a lot to me. They push me to be the best that I can but when I needed to take time off they supported my decision and let me have time to find my way back to softball.
My education is also very important to me. One of my goals has always been to attend a four year college and to be able to play softball while getting an education. I don't know what I want to study yet but I work hard on my grades now so that I have as many options open to me when the time comes for me to decide where I want to attend college.
Softball has been a part of my life since I was 5 years old. I was not always sure that I wanted to play softball in college. As I continued to play competitively I somehow started to lose my passion for the game. I made the hard decision to take a break from softball and explore other hobbies that I felt I might be missing out on. I eventually came to the realization that I still loved the game and missed being on the field. I am back playing competitively and it has renewed my passion for wanting to continue playing in college. I think that taking a step back from the game was the best decision I could have made so that I could see that I do still have the desire and the ability to play beyond the high school level.
I don't have all of the answers to my future yet but I will continue to work hard to achieve my goals.
