I can remember my first season of rec ball. The other players had been playing softball for years and I was so nervous. I had no idea what I was doing, yet I had a coach who saw something special. He spent the next 2 seasons turning me into a softball player. It has been 5 years and I am so grateful to that coach for sending me down a road that has no boundaries.
Softball is my passion. I volunteer at the Softball Peformance Workshop 10 hours a week running drills for girls from 10-18 yrs old. I absolutely LOVE it! Not only do I enjoy playing the game of softball, but I enjoy teaching and learning it. Running drills for other girls improves my game on the field, too. My goal is to play at a D1 college as well as pursue a degree which allows me to explore my creative writing skills.
I am a scholar student athlete who has a desire to learn, grow and teach the sport of softball. My other interests include writing stories, reading, Harry Potter and music. Obtaining a doctorate degree in English Literature is my college aspiration. I am an artistic person and I feel that this is what differentiates me from other recruits on the field. My coaches have always said that they love me as a player because I take what they tell me and implement it on the field immediately. I'm not afraid to make mistakes in order to grow on and off the field.
