My strengths as a catcher are pitch selection, blocking, strong throws and quick response as plays develop. In the outfield, I'm quick to the ball, willing to dive (when appropriate) and my throws are strong and accurate. At third, I field well and throw strong and accurately. I'm a line-drive hitter with great bat speed and hand-eye coordination. My power hits are split between line-drive gappers and over-their-head. Medium speed, but I'm a smart runner with a good hook slide. I lead by example on and off the field, and I've been told I'm highly coachable. I'm serious about my college education and I love playing softball. My plan is to first identify schools throughout the country strong in Math, Science and Engineering, then using the NCSA system to find which coaches feel I'd add value to their softball programs (that's important). And I'm counting on finding a team that's a family off the field, too, especially if it's pretty far from San Jose. Yes, I'm a California girl that's going to go where my best opportunity for success is.
