My college goals are to play four years of softball, the game that I love, and to obtain my Bachelors Degree in either Nursing, Psychology, or Sports Medicine. I believe by pursuing the position of pitcher, which is usually dominated by females of a larger stature, it has taught me that hard work, persistence, and inner drive allows for much success regardless of size. This attribute I feel will assist me throughout my personal, educational and professional life. Throughout my softball career I have strived to bring a positive, team-oriented, friendly, and helpful attitude onto the field, in the dugout, and in the community. My parents have stated that on every team I have ever played the other players' parents have consistently commented that I always have a smile on my face no matter the situation. I think this is due primarily to my great love of the game. Unlike my need to push myself athletically in the position of pitcher, one attribute that has always come natural to me is my above-average speed. I believe this would be a great added asset to any college softball program. Academically I continue to strive to better myself in the classroom just like I do on the ball field.
