Personal Statement

Playing softball in college has been a very influential goal in my life.  It has pushed me to exceed my limits, work harder than I ever thought I could, and has made me, not only a better player, but a better person.  First and foremost, academics have always been my number one priority and my aim is to attend a highly academic school in any of the three divisions.  I take my education just as serious as my sport and I understand that they will be the ultimate factor in getting recruited.  I am currently taking some of the most rigorous courses at my school and I am ranked 16th out of 878 students in the class of 2017.  I can successfully balance softball and my academics, and when one begins to slip I will dedicate more effort and time to fix it.  I am currently a junior taking three advanced placement classes-- AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC, and AP Language and Composition-- and I am also in Spanish 3, softball and I am a lab assistant in an Honors Chemistry class.

When it comes to my play I have always been determined to perform my absolute best no matter what the situation is.  I will always push myself toward the finish line and then some.  I am also a big fan of always cheering on my team; they can always hear me in the dugout or on the field.  I am always up for a new challenge whether it be fighting for a position, trying a new position or learning a new skill.  I am a very coachable athlete and will make any adjustments without argument.  I am always the first to volunteer when the coach needs something done. I love the family atmosphere of being a part of a team, and will get along with everybody.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
