I HAVE COMMITTED (AS OF NOVEMBER 2015) TO PLAY SOFTBALL AT ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY.
First of all, please check out my website at http://deannasullivan2016.webs.com. You will find details about me and also updated stats for each tournament/showcase/friendly under my blog.
My name is Deanna Sullivan and I just started my sophomore year at Corona High School, Corona, CA. I will be graduating in 2016. I am taking honors and hold a 4.59 weighted GPA. I plan to continue with honors classes to be in a position where I continue my higher education in college and compete for a spot in their softball program.
Here is just a little bit about myself. I haven’t always been a softball player. When other girls were out on the field playing T-ball, 6U, 8U, or 10U, I was trying my luck at swimming, acting, guitar playing and diving. None of those felt quite right for me though. So, when I had just turned eleven, I wanted to try softball. I fell in love with playing. I absorbed all I could learn in two fall seasons and two spring seasons even moving up to 14U my last recreation season. Even though I was twelve that season, I wanted to challenge myself. After the spring season ended, I decided I now could compete at the travel ball level. I went with a 12U team for a couple of months until I had to move up to 14U to see if I would like softball at this level. I did and the rest is history. Every new fall season, I challenged myself by moving up a level and now at 16 years old, I am playing with an 18U organization. That organization is FTC Thunder in Corona, CA. I play Shortstop, but can also play Outfield and 2nd base.
My long term goals are to finish college with a psychology degree (emphasis of neuroscience behavior) and have a career in this field. My ultimate goal is to work for the FBI. In my spare time, I would enjoy teaching girls how to play softball and hopefully, that would include my own kids.
