Monica Gomez '11 Recruiting Profile

I believe everyone has some type of passion in their lives and mine happens to be the game of softball. Determination is what thrives me when I am on the field. My mentality is set that once I step on the dirt I am leaving everything I have and more on it. When I step on and off of the field every single time it is with a hustle because it demonstrates how important the game is and how much it matters to me being a part of it. I believe that I have the atittude and the ability to continue with softball after high school, therefore I will stay focused academically. And I will also continue taking in the advice my coaches have for me to become a better player. I am seeking for a college that has a motivated softball team with good competition. One option I have in mind is Cal State Dominguez Hills because I have had the opportunity to visit the campus and observe the team and they have high expectations for their team on and off the field. Their team is very disciplined and their coaches support the team academically. My desired major is criminal justice and that carries a big part in being physically conditioned therefore I believe softball would help me out in setting my next step.
