Jazlyn Grice '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, Coach, my name is Jazlyn Grice and I'm an 8th grader at High Desert Middle School in Globe,Arizona. I'm 5'6" and am a hardworking softball player. I've been playing softball since I was 8 years old, and have always wanted to play in college while getting my degree at the same time. I plan to major in Nursing or or a similar field. I am taking honor classes while maintaining a 4.3 GPA.

Knowing that I'm capable of playing softball in college makes me more passionate for this sport. I was captain of my junior high school softball team my 7th & 8th grade years. What I can offer to a team is the promise to always work hard and never give up.

When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, I am mainly looking at Arizona, California, and Louisiana schools, but I am pretty open minded about colleges. My overall goal is to find just the right one that fits me best. It doesn't matter about the size or location; if I can receive a good education and play softball I will be happy. My choice for a major is Nursing.

My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a highly competitive level. Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team and to little girls who look up to me. Knowing at the end of the day that I made a difference and tried my hardest keeps a smile on my face.
