I fell in love with the game of softball at a very young age. I have been a starter on my varsity team since I was in the 6th grade, there I had to prove I was just as good as all those older than me. During this time I had to learn to deal with the criticism that came with this and to not be intimidated by older opponents. My freshmen season was a huge learning experience for me. In the middle of my 8th grade season I suffered a season ending injury. Coming back this year I had to fight for my starting position due to an increase in enrollment at my school. This season brought a whole new understanding of work ethic and determination to me.
While in 8th and 9th grade I also played for my junior varsity team. I was chosen by the players and coaches as team captain. I want to continue to be a role model for young girls, not just athletically but academically as well. I currently have a 4.0 GPA. My goal is to be Valedictorian of my class and to continue being a student-athlete at the next level. My work ethic, determination, and leadership skills could make an immediate impact on your team.
