Jose Gonzalez '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jose Gonzalez. I am 17 years old and live in Newark, California. I am Mexican-American. I attend Newark Memorial High School and take part in various activities and sports in the school. I play water polo and swimming for the school team. I also played for the Boys Stanford Water Polo Club Team. My dream and goal would be to play on the Stanford University team when i graduate from high school. That is the main goal, but I would be content with playing the sport i love in a college that would give me a good education and a good start for my future. I also aspire to swim in college, but if that is not possible I would gladly play one or the other in college. Another dream I have for my sports is to reach a skill level that would help me gain entry to the Olympics with the national team. During my time as an athlete I would like to achieve academic aspirations equal to my goals in sports. My dream is to become a lawyer. I would like to specialize in immigration, but my goal is to defend people with argument. I also dream to become a history major to teach later on in life. I would like to be active in politics as well to help change our country in ways that benefit everyone. I dream to be come a senator or governor so that i I could be a voice for the people to be heard by the government.
