Matthew Conger '15 Recruiting Profile

I began playing water polo competitively in eight grade, and since then it has been an integral part of my life.  I train for polo every day and do not want to stop playing.  This desire to play has sparked my interest in playing competitively at the collegiate level.  As a competitive swimmer for ten years I use my speed to gain an advantage in the pool and create scoring opportunities.  I also am a very intelligent player and am possess the ability to stay one step ahead of the game which is invaluable in such a rapid sport.  In the classroom, I excel in all of my classes and have a 5.0 my senior year.  My academic prowess has assured me that I will be able to balance classes as well as a rigorous practice schedule in college.   I am a perfect candidate because I maintain a deep understanding of the game and my selfless-playing character helps create exceptional team camaraderie.
