Hi coach. I am Peyton Ranck. First always putting school before my sport I want to be a biomedical engineer and I will strive for a 4.0 GPA . I'm dedicated to be the best not just on the court but in the classroom. My competitiveness is shown by the hard work and effort I put into beating all of my competition.
This separates me from other recruits because I have the will and the drive for perfection. I'm a good candidate for your team because I will do whatever it takes to improve and make your team the best that it can be no matter what my role. I have an outstanding clean record that shows that my character is impeccable.
What seperates me from other setters is the knowledge and ability that I have to run a fast pace dynamic offense. The offense that I run is all about deception and quickness. Using every available hitter I use my abillity to stay neutral until the last second to confuse blockers and open holes for my hitters. I also think incredibly fast I am able to use my peripheral vision to spot blockers and movements from the defense to quickly determine who to set. A list of different sets i run regularly in my offense are
Hut or 2nd step left pin set
Shoot or a 3rd step left pin set
3-1 or a fast ball at the height of a one ball 3 feet inside
3-2 or a slower 3-1 ball
Front 1 ball
Front 2 ball
Back 1 ball
Back 2 ball
C or a 2nd step right pin set
Bic or back row quick attack
30 or a Bic from the 5 positoon
40 or a Bic from the 1 position
These sets let me run a numerous amount of plays that I use to beat the blocker and the opposing team. I use techniques such as overloading a pin and reverse flow sets to really gain an advantage for my hitters after all I am here to make them look good.
The last thing that seperates me from others is my intensity and my modesty while playing. I am able to lift my team when they are down and create enthusiasm for my team which is one of the most important aspects of volleyball in my opinion. Even with the intensity I bring to the court I am still a very humble player. I am the setter and I know that even when it's not my fault every mistake should be me to blame for its important to keep the rest of your team level.
Thank you for your time.
Peyton Ranck.
