Alex Versendaal '17 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing volleyball for four years now and I have found that I have a great passion for the sport. I started playing volleyball my freshman year in high school only because I needed a sport to play in the spring. But as I continued playing, I started realizing my potential for the sport as well as how much I enjoy playing volleyball. I truly believe that the Lord has blessed me with a great athletic ability and being able to play volleyball is a gift from him that I cherish deeply.

I believe that I have the ability to be leader. I have been and I am currently a captain for my school team. My goal and job as a captain is to set a Godly example for my teammates to follow. I am also a very teachable athlete. I am always looking for ways that I can better myself not only as an athlete but as a person too. Volleyball is very important to me, but so is my schooling. My goal is to find a school where I can get the engineering degree that I am looking for and play volleyball at highest level of play that I can.
