Personal Statement

My main goal is to get a degree in biochemistry from an acclaimed university to continue on to medical school to become a physician. But, I do not want to lose my activities outside school such as volleyball which is why I want to for sure play in college. I have been a middle hitter since 6th grade, where I also was never substituted out for a libero, so I developed a fundamental understanding of how to pass. I played my first year of club my 16's year where I went from just one of the freshman players to being an all-conference selection my sophomore year, as well as having the highest hitting percentage both years, and the most kills my junior year. My dream for my school volleyball team is to make it past the regionals in the IHSA state tournament and continue on into the sectionals. I think that this will be the year where we can really make an impact in our conference and in the state. I also feel a newfound level of commitment after having to go through a period where there wasn't going to be a volleyball program my junior year, but we fought for it and were able to cement our place in Lakes Community High School's athletics’ program. I worked hard to play volleyball for my school, so I will put in the extra work to make sure we are going to have a good season.

Club Information

  • Seasons of Club Experience
  • 3 seasons
  • 2012 Adversity Volleyball Club (18)
  • I just joined this club this year after they had placed 5th in 17-open last year. I felt that switching from my old club Southport VOlleyball Club in Wisconsin would allow me to see better teams at better tournaments, get seen by more coaches, and get better at volleyball faster.
  • 2011 Southport Volleyball Club (17)
  • This was my second year playing for Southport, and we were again like our 16's season a middle dominant team. This meant more swings and work for me as a middle.
  • 2010 Southport Volleyball Club (16)
  • This was my first year playing club volleyball. I was directed to this club by my high school coach Wayne Schultz, and I was able to improve to a level that allowed me to start for varsity my sophomore year in high school.
