1. Work ethic- If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail. My work ethic on and off the field is one of the most important aspects of my life and stress to do any activity on and off the field to the best of my ability.
2. Character- A good attitude and perspective can change the way you play the game. I have a positive attitude on the field at all times and I certainly do not let any adversity get to me. I aspire to play every game at my best level and the way to do that is through mental toughness.
3. Knowledge and Education- These are the key to success on and off the field. Knowing the right technique is extremely important and you can not be called a student-athlete without being a STUDENT first.
I have aspired to play baseball at the next level for as long as I could remember. I would seek the opportunity to better myself physically and mentally. I maintain all my grades in advanced classes and my composure on the field. To me, the most important aspect of track is the mental part and I lead by example to my teammates to show that a calm, centered mind on the field can really change how you play the game. I make sure to balance my sports and my academics so I can keep doing what I love, and that is to run track.
