Freshman and Sophomore year my coaches told me I was an up and coming star, that I'd make an impact on the team all four years. Then junior year and mono rolled around, and I lost my entire track season. In those months that I spent off the track, I learned to appreciate the gift that I have and respect the advice given to me by my coaches. I've returned senior year, and knowing how fragile my athletics can be now, I don't take any of it for granted.
I am looking for a college that will be just as focused on me academically as they will be athletically. I believe that, like the name states, a student-athlete is first a student. That being said, I am a person who is fiercely competitive, and I will do everything I can to benefit any program I take part in. I can bring leadership, determination, and a strong competitive drive to any program, and it's my goal in life and athletics to be the best I can be in my respective fields.
