So far in my high school career I have earned a varsity letter my freshman, sophomore and junior year in track. My freshman year of vaulting my PR was 11', my sophomore year I cleared 12'9". I placed 4th in my conference meet (ECOL). At the district meet I placed 6th. I just finished up my junior season. I won my conference, won my district, placed second in my regional, and placed 6th at the state meet. My current PR is 14'8". My biggest set back in high school has been not having a vault coach. I have coached myself with a session a week working with coach Tom Addy, I do not get to vault as much as i would like to.
In college, I want to obtain a bachelor's degree in human services or sports management. I also want to vault in college.
I have been working so far this summer on pushing up to the sky in the beginning stages of my vault rather than cranking on poles. Also working on keeping a nice long swings leg (trail leg). My goal is to hit 16ft next spring and I believe I can do that.
