It is my hopes to continue running track in college. I feel I am somewhat under the radar because of missing my entire sophomore track season with a hamstring injury. As a freshman I ran a 53.6 best in the 400 mtrs. As a junior this year I played varsity basketball and because of the extended season with state playoffs my training for track did not begin until March. So I have yet to get the opportunity to concentrate on track only! Since I only starting running track in the 8th grade, I am only tapping the surface in this sport. I feel given the opportunity to run track in college that i will be able to maximize my abilities and become an outstanding college track athlete. My academic record has always been a strength of mine too. My GPA stands at 3.5 for my first three years at St. Ignatius and I have lived by the motto of our school "A Man for Others" by community service and how I carry myself on and off our campus. My immediate goals are to graduate with honors in the classroom and make it to Columbus as a state qualifier for my senior year in track. I look forward to what the future has in store for me and the educational possibilities beyond high school!
