Kelby Bishop-Scioli '20 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Kelby Bishop-Scioli. I am an honors student at Connetquot High School with a 4.0 GPA. I am also a 5'10" distance runner who competes in cross country, winter track, and spring track. My best 1600m is 4:39, my best 3000m Steeplechase time is 10:31, and my fastest 5k time is 16:51.

    I have been running since I was seven years old. I ran AAU and USATF Nationals before high school. As a 12 year old, I won the East Coast Regional Championship in the 1500m (4:43.6). Another accomplishment I am proud of is being the captain of my middle school team for two years as well as the captain of my youth team while I was running AAU and USATF. I am always supportive of my teammates and I help them become better runners by pushing them in practice and cheering them on at meets.

    My goal is to go to college to compete and get an excellent education so I can support my family throughout my life. I am open to go to any school in the United States to take on new challenges. The characteristics I would like in a college are one that is diverse, is very strong academically and has a competitive running program. I think I may prefer a mid-sized school, but I am open to other options. Ideally the college would be Division 1. At this time, I have not decided my major, but I am interested in history, environmental studies, conservation, and engineering. My ultimate goal is to compete at the highest competitive level there is in college running.
