Goals are easy to set. Accomplishing them is what makes a person. I am that person wanting to represent and standout for all those wanting a leader.
When I entered Middle School in 6th grade my parents made it very clear to me that I would be doing a sport for each season. Their reasoning? To get me involved. So I chose X Country. After a few weeks of running circles around the school I realized that I wasn't half bad and before long I was finishing in the top 10 overall. In 7th grade I was winning most races and in 8th grade I went undefeated. To finish my middle school X Country season, at Counties I came in 2nd overall.
Running came naturally to me. I had very little training but showed big results. This showed in Track and Field when I entered high school. The mile, 2 mile and the 800 where my choices. My coaches groomed me for the long distance before noticing that I had a comfortable position in the 800. Freshman and Sophomore year my times where comparable with the other elite runners in the county. I broke my school record in the 800 Sophomore year. I broke my record again this year, my Junior, but wished to have bettered my time further. Due to unfortunate difficulties I was out of the running circle during the fall and winter season. What shows my determination on proving my abilities, I didn't let this get me down. Continuing to run with my team, all the while unable to compete, I didn't give up. I ran my fastest in the 800 - 1:57.2 that following spring.
As for my senior year, I plan on proving this to you and most importantly to me. I need to show that I am capable of accomplishing my goal and I look forward to next season and what I produce. As I said before, goals are easy to set and I will be accomplishing mine.
