2017 Cross Countr...Personal Statement
- I am currently a sophomore at Belchertown High School. I began my training the fall of my freshman year, and in this time I have shaved over 5 minutes off my 5K Cross Country time (currently 17:09) and 2 minutes off 2 mile track time (currently 10:49). Most recently, I have qualified to represent my High School at the Massachusetts Cross Country State Championship by placing 20th at the Western Massachusetts Championship. This success can be attributed to my high level of self motivation and work ethic. My goal is to get into a college that will support both my academics, and my talents with Cross Country and Track. A major that I would like to pursue would allow me to continue my passion for health and fitness, such as sports medicine. I understand that going to a good college takes a lot of work and I am willing to put in double to try to run faster and learn more. Running is my passion and I want to take it as far as I can go.
