Personal Statement

I am currently a senior at Washburn Rural High School (6A) in Topeka Kansas. I would like to go to college but am not yet sure where. I am currently playing varsity for four sports at my high school: Cross Country, Soccer, Basket Ball, and Track and Field. I would like to play college sports ant any level and am looking into a degree in Athletic Training, then Physical Therapy, and a minnor in Education. I would like to get most of my college paid for with the help of sports and my current 3.8 GPA (unweighted) and 4.5 GPA (Weighted). In the Fall 2012 season I played soccer, starting on varsity and won the state championship in 6A, while also competing in cross country as my high school’s top runner in the same season, eventually making the All City, All League, All Region, and All State Teams with a time of 16:25.20 to finish the season. This was my first season running cross country in my life, and combined with soccer League, Region, and State Championships made an unforgettable season for me. I am an extremely hard worker and never stop trying to improve in all my sports. And since this was my first season running Cross Country I worked especially hard to do everything I could for my team and coach. During that season I also played soccer at the same time. My coaches and I feel that if I decide to run just Cross Country in college I could become even better and cut down on my time even more.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
