I have participated in athletics my whole life and would like to continue in college. Athletics has allowed me to challenge myself while instilling the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and leading by example.
I am a hard worker, a quick learner, and very coachable. This was my first full year throwing javelin and my dedication allowed me to finish 3rd at the Kansas 6A State Championship meet and set a PR of 183 feet at the Sunflower League Championship using a 7 step approach. I am also a four year varsity football player and earned All-Sunflower League honors in 2016.
I have applied the same traits to school. I am an International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate with a 4.58 weighted GPA and serve as the Chairman of the Harvesters Food Bank Committee on a student run volunteer organization. Outside of school, I participate in my church's youth program, umpire baseball games, and work as a lifeguard.
My goal is to find a school with strong academics that also allows me to pursue my passion in javelin at the highest level of competition. I am open to all options and feel like I can contribute to the school and program I attend.
