I'm believe that the best way to train is to past your breaking point doing more than is needed so when it is time to race you have more to offer than others. Thats why I cross train each day swimming before school and going cycling after practice to get more in so when race day comes I know I've put in more work than others. I don't make excuses for why not to perform well instead I have the metallity to just screw it just go for it no matter water even when the goings tough. Thats when you can tell who has the most heart and drive because those who don't care make excuses and complain while those with the drive to succed go all out. I also use that same mentallity with pain I just tell it to go away because I don't have anything for my body so I tell it to just keep going. I'm a senior cross-country runner for west Chicago High School and I run a 16:27 5K, crosscountry is my main sport that I give everything for, besides crosscountry I compete in Triathlons and just recently went to Nationals for Triathlons in Vermont placing 6th in my age group being invited to the World Champs in New Zealand although I won't be going so as not to miss part of my crosscountrty season which is more important than going to compete in the New Zealand.
