Running has always been a part of my life since I was little. Both of my parents have run marathons since before I was born and that really motivated me to start doing races. When I was 13 I started doing half marathons and by 16 I started doing fulls. This helped me realize I needed to make the switch from football to cross country, and I'm very happy I made that change. Cross country has been such a good experience for me because I love the competitiveness of it and the team comradery. Anytime, from speed days on the track to distance days on the trail, I push myself and my teammates to the fullest which has shown a lot of results through high school. The thought of being able to compete at the college level excites me and is a goal I'd like to pursue. Even though I have really dedicated myself to the sport, I believe I have a lot of potential left and would love the opportunity to compete for a college team.
