My goals in college are to run track and stay fit and in shape, always improving on and off the track. My biggest goal is to stay focused on my studies maintain a 3.0 GPA, but also aim higher and accept no lower. Also getting use to the real world and being on my own in life, all with the support of my peers and family. All while having fun during college.
i differ from a lot of others i'm not like most that just look to playing the sport they love, i like to build a strong relationship with all my team mates and coaches and even the family members of my team mates. I believe a strong relationship through a team makes a better team, and as a team i plan on bring the whole team closer on and off the track. i bring a positive uplifting mood to everyone i'm around, i can the funny guy a lot of people would say and i plan on being around the ones that will work a sweat with me on the track leaving no one out. With being the fun and loving person i can be i am also a leader i know when its Go time and work time, I can improve not only myself but also the team in a whole. I can give my team mates tips on being a better athlete and person by being straight forward by telling them their flaws in a way i know they can handle. I am also a great listener i love getting tips from coaches about track how i can improve and also things in life that can help me as a person. With my coaches i try to build a relationship with them to the point its as if they are just an older family member i can rely on and go to for help and ask questions.
Track is the only thing i have truly felt passionate about i work non stop to get better. I set goals to beat all the time, from how much weight i do during a workout, To beating the guy who has beaten me in a race before and failure is not an option for me, if i set a goal i will make it. I am always working on, on rest days we are given i push myself to do something to improve myself, even on days i just don't feel like doing anything and want to be lazy i force myself to improve because even little things count in the long run. I also apply the same lazy method of pushing myself to do good in school, doing the home work taking extra notes, and receiving help when needed because it can only help in the long run.
A lot of people around me say "you won't run tack in college" or "you wont get a offer from a college" but all i say is "Nothings impossible if you really want that" and this is what i've always wanted, so i will get it.
