My goals in college are to receive an amazing education and to continue to participate in track and field. I currently am very interested in the field of sports medicine. I would love to attend a school with a strong sports medicine department and an intense care for both athletics and academics. Besides sports medicine, I also have strong interests in the fields of Biology and Business. My overall, collegiate goals are to leave college satisfied with the knowledge I have obtained and confident about my opportunities in the real world.
I am an extremely determined, and very coach-able athlete. In my first two years of high school I was able to improve my hurdles time by about two seconds (from 17 second range to the 15 second range). I have a current record of 15.25 seconds in the 110 high hurdles and have two full more years in high school to improve that time. I also do the 300 meter hurdles, with a record of 40.52, and Long Jump, with a record of 20'4". I am a very well rounded athlete and am willing to participate in many different events in track. Though my main events are hurdles and Long Jump, I also have participated in triple jump, sprints, high jump and mid-distance. I am a social person and am a team player. I often get along with all of my teammates and coaches. Not only am I passionate about my athletics but, I also am very passionate about my academics. I take all honors and AP classes and receive A's and B's.
