Benjamin Alvarez '11 Recruiting Profile

I recently began running about a year ago.During my first year in Cross country I made it to Varsity and was the Most Improved runner for the season. I continued training everyday and joined Track and made it to the Varsity track and qualified for CIF Preliminaries. In fact I have been one of the top runners for my school.Currently I am the Captain of the Cross Country Team and exhibit my leadership skills through a variety of ways such as providing encouragement to my teammates, insisting that everyone attends all practices and setting goals for my team. I am a hard worker, focused, ethical and always give my best to improve as an individual and to contribute to my team. I love running and excelled at it right away. I am fully committed to this sport and always give it my best. I know that I have not reached my fullest potential due to my age and years running. I am looking for a college that is serious about running and will train me hard and a coach to bring out my fullest potential. In return I will be a fully committed athlete and student.
