My dreams have always been since i was a little kid, while highly unlikely, are to run in the Olympics. My whole family would ask me "when are you going to the Olympics?" or "are you still going to the Olympics?". Than really gave me a sense of pride. I felt like I could do it and there would be nothing that could stop me. However, I let myself down a lot in the past few years by losing my passion and drive for running. I was able to find it again after a few years, hopefully not to late. While I know that the Olympics are know even more unlikely than before, it is still one of, if not, my biggest dream.
My goals for this track season are also set high. My coach tells me I could run at least 1:55 for the 800m, which he say's is probably what i would run best in. I have set an even high goal for myself. My minimum goal is for the 1:55 while my main goal is to run 1:50, which would correlate in me possibly winning state. i know this goal is so high and hard to achieve, but when I think about it I get butterflies in my stomach and a sense of happiness and just want to get to work on my training. For the 400m my goal is to get at least the very least 50 seconds but hopefully below, no matter how far below. I'm praying, if I train hard enough and if it's God's plan for me, i will be able to achieve these goals.
If I do go to college to run, I'd want to set my goals even higher. Whatever my college coach tells me I could run, I will try to do even better to the best of my abilities. Maybe, if I work hard enough, I could get my chance to go to the Olympics. Whether it be running at the qualifiers, or running in the finals, I just want a chance so i don't have any regrets in my life.
