Jonathan Dourneau '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jonathan Dourneau (JD). I am a senior at Foothill High School in Pleasanton, CA and I am currently a third year varsity sprinter and long jumper. I hope to major in Forestry or Fire Science. I chose this major because I am pursuing my dream and goal of becoming a Firefighter/Paramedic. I am currently a volunteer/intern for the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department. I have over 1000 volunteers hours ranging from Ride Alongs to Public Education events (Fill-The-Boot, Toys for Tots, Relay for Life, Fire Safety Expo/Pancake Breakfast, etc). I am currently a Concurrent Enrolled Student taking Fire Science Technology courses at Las Positas Community College. I am very passionate about helping others and giving back to the community. I also want to become a Firefighter for the family aspect of the job. Track and Field is a team and individual sport but my Track team is my family whether I am competing against my teammates or not. Every week, I attend my local church and I volunteer my time, whether it be collecting toys or food during the holidays. I also really enjoy being outdoors (mountain biking, hiking, shooting, fishing, camping, etc.)!
