I am currently a senior right now who runs cross country and track for College Park High School. I started running track in 8th grade when my P.E. teacher told me I should run track. After that, I've been running cross country and track ever since. My goals for my senior year are to break 16 minutes in the 3 mile and qualify for the CIF Cross Country State Championships as an individual or with my team. In addition, my goals are to go sub 2:00 in the 800, sub 4:25 in the 1600m, and sub 10:00 for the 3200m for my senior year of track. I wanna be able to compete at the college level for cross country and track because I want to be pushed to new limits by racing against such a high level of competition. I have already improved so much since I started running. For example, my freshmen year of high school my fastest 3200m was a 10:53 and my fastest 3 mile was an 18:18. The following year, my times improved to 10:07 for the 3200m and 16:40 for the 3 mile by training harder and smarter. I know I can improve so much more and that is why I want to continue to run competitively in college and maybe run after college as well.
