Hello and thank you for visiting my profile,
My name is Chance Childs and I am senior at Paraclete High School in Lancaster, CA. I maintain a 3.5 GPA and have achieved several recognitions such as making the principals list and honor roll. I have also run track at the varsity level for three years. My main events are the 400m and 4x4m relay. I have been to CIF Finals three times to run the 4x4m relay. I have additionally served as power forward on the basketball team and wide receiver and free safety on the football team. I am also a member of the California Scholarship Federation and the National Honors Society.
I am no stranger to adversity. When I was born I was diagnosed with cataracts in both my eyes. This has not stopped me from accomplishing my goals and challenging myself. Oppositely, this struggle has helped me to push myself harder and further; it has shown me that I am an overcomer. I have worked very hard to get to where I am today. My goals are to run track at the collegiate level and to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree and MBA in business administration. I know that, given the opportunity, I will achieve this and more.
