Matthew Thomas '14 Recruiting Profile

I have been throwing for eight years now and it has become more than just a sport to me. Competing in track and field has taught me a lot about life and about myself. I have learned that in order to achieve your goals, you must be willing to sacrifice everything you have. This past summer I gave up a lot of my free time to go into the weight room or go out and throw for a few hours. This is the type of dedication that I believe will help me excel at the next level. I am looking for a university and a track program that is passionate about making their student athletes better.  My goal as an athlete and as a person is to be the absolute best that I can be. I believe that I would be a valuable piece of any college track and field program for these reasons.
