Personal Statement
Running is my passion; evertime I run, I feel free. The track and course are two of the few places where I feel stress leave me and I feel completely free. My goal is to follow in the footsteps of Galen Rupp, Adam Goucher, Steve Prefontaine, Jacob Sandry, Mo Farrah, and every great distance runner. I want to not just run, but compete at a high level, be the best I can possibly be, and God willing, run in the Olympics. I am a hard worker, and a team leader. My coaches can attest to that because they have seen me grow the 4 years I've run for them. Recently I lost my great-grandfather right before Cross Country CIF Finals my Junior Year, and my Godfather 2 days before League Finals for Track my Junior year. Coach Perez helped me through this and gave me a summer training program that would give me a wide base for my Senior season.

- I've been running for five years now, and I've learned a great deal from the guys that I had the honor of running with at State. Over the 2012 Summer, I ran over 500 miles in preparation of my Senior year. Coach Perez gave me the training program and he has seen the dedication that I have for the sport.
