Personal Statement

My name is Gavin Bradley and I am a senior at Ruben S. Ayala High School in Chino Hills, CA. I am a very driven and determined athlete and I'm ready to make an impact on whatever school I attend.

Here is a little bit about me and how my cross country season went last year:

- I was the number two runner on my team for the season.

- I went on to CIF southern section prelims where I ran a 15:45 and placed 11th overall.

- I then went on to CIF southern section finals where I ran a 15:35 and placed 29th overall.

- My personal best time for 3 miles is 15:06 at Bell Gardens Invite where I placed 1st overall.                                                                     - I was recognized in my town's newspaper as a dedicated runner.                                                                                                             - My time is recognized as the 10th best time in my school's history.

- I am also recognized as the 4th best Junior in the history of Ayala.                                                                                                         - I also have the 9th best time at Mt.Sac in Ayala history.                                                                                                                       - - I also have the 12th best time at Woodward Park in Ayala history.

I am in the middle of my 4th year of my cross country season. I am running the Varsity level once again. I have been doing well this season. I am staying pretty consistent with my times this year. I can't wait for my track training to begin.

I am already getting ready for my track season coming up in a couple months. Track is my main dedication because of how fast people tell me I am at it. As a sophomore, I've ran huge PR's and my main events are the 800 and 1600. In the 800 I believe I can accomplish the school record by running a 1:51 and also the 1600 record by running a 4:12. I am extremely close as my Pr's are 1:57 and 4:19, respectively. With my new training I believe track season will be one to remember this year.
