My name is Dezmond Smith and I am a student-athlete. I play three sports: basketball, football, and I am a part of the track and field team. I am 6'0 and I weigh 170 lbs, Track and Field is my main sport out of the three sports that I play. My events in track and field are long jump, high jump and triple jump, with triple jump being my dominant event. I am a captain of the basketball and track team and I set an example for the younger ones on the team. Since day one I always wanted to play a sport in College but then I didn't know what sport, but about my sophmore year I chose Track and Field because that is what I am best at. I would prefer to go to school out of California to get away from home and to learn responsibility early, but it doesn't matter what college as long as its a university with a good track and field team. Div.I Div.II Div.III or NAiA are all good, I am open to all. Junior college is the only type of college I do not prefer. My desired major is in sports medicine also known as Kinesiology, I would like to be a part of sports for the rest of my life. My main goal in life is to go to the Olympics and jump for our country and I know that it will take a lot of hard work and I am ready for the challenge. I hope to become a student-athlete at a good college in the near future. Thank You
