Personal Statement

I have loved the sport of track since the age of four when I watched Dwight Phillips and John Moffitt soar to first and second in the long jump in 2004 in Athens. Inspired, I spent much of my childhood emulating these men, dreaming of the day when I would get my chance to run down the runway and soar from the board. My dreams of prosperity were briefly interrupted by the death of my father. My father (being a former collegiate runner himself) was my biggest motivator and now that he is no longer with me, he is my biggest MOTIVATION to accomplish everything I was destined to accomplish. I will not be outworked and I will not settle. As my high school career comes to a close, I prepare to write a new chapter involving collegiate competition. With God by my side and my father up above, I WILL SUCCEED.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
