I’ve been visiting Division I and II colleges last with the objective of finding the right coach, team and education that allows me to become an outstanding man and GREAT tennis player. As a freshman I played on the #1 doubles team so a Senior could have a good playing partner. As a sophomore I worked hard and was the #1 singles player and after moving to Ohio was the #1 singles player and mentored the boys and girls tennis team since they are a newer unit. The right fit for me is a college and team that offers competitive men’s tennis play while completing a four year degree in business finance. I’m seeking some financial assistance in order to facilitate playing out of state since I enjoy competing outside in the elements all year.
My #1 goal is to continue to increase my tennis skills during my senior year of high school and be in the top 50 of the USTA Midwest ratings. I had a few challenging months this year due to my 19 year old brother passing away 5/28/15. My strengths include 1) always willing to work harder to increase my level of play, 2) being very independent, 3) being open to coaching and 4) having an advanced knowledge of sports performance nutrition and training due to my Mom’s profession and teachings (Registered Dietitian) and 5) a thirst for sports performance that comes from within me.
I'm currently 6’4, ~ 190# and still growing. I have tennis as my #1 lifetime goal while continuing to get an education to be a well rounded adult and then be a professional tennis player.
I want to continue to my growth as a player through out college. I have been released by my current coach at Fairmont State University at my request. I will still be playing on the team for this upcoming spring season of 2018 but am looking for a new college and team for 2018 fall season. The biggest reason for this change is due to not enough on court time and training at my current school. I am really looking for a team that is motivated to get better as players and are looking to play outside of scheduled practices.
This past fall season at Fairmont State University I played #1 doubles throughout the entire season. In singles I played as low as #5 and as high as #3.
I look forward to meeting you, getting any advice you have, being on your radar for a spot on your team, playing for you and seeing your tennis facilities and school!
