I love playing tennis. My goal is to play on a college team where others are serious about tennis as well. On the court I have an aggressive style of play and use directionals which I learned in the summer of 2013 at Ed Krass’s College Tennis Camp at Lehigh University taught by Division I college coaches. I like to control and dictate points rather than wait for my opponent to make a mistake. I have a big serve, quick hands, and am an all-court player. I absolutely love playing doubles, will bring a lot of positive energy to any team, and will do whatever it takes to help my team win.
Off the court I have a 92 weighted average in school and will graduate with an IB Certificate in four subjects. I was inducted into the Latin Honor Society as a freshman and the Italian Honor Society and the National Honor Society as a junior. I worked as a camp counselor for kids age 3-5 the past three summers. I was also asked by my coach to be the manager of the Commack Girls Varsity Tennis team (2013 and 2014). In June of 2014 I organized a Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The past two years I served as a volunteer for the New York State Special Olympics. I am the type of person that works hard to achieve my goals, has respect for others, and hopefully the type of student-athlete that would make a college proud to have me represent their school.
