Last year I was a freshman at Pace University, I was on the mens tennis team switching off playing 4th and 5th singles and playing 2nd doubles. I would soon findout after school was over that the mens tennis program at Pace would be eliminated. This was very upsetting to me and it made me want to transfer to a new college. I am interested in playing tennis at another school because I still have another three years of eligibilty. I would like to join a tennis program where I would be able to join the team right away and help them accomplish their goals of winning. My first year playing doubles at Pace with a new doubles partner, we were able to get our record .500 at the end of the season starting off very bad. Working together has helped my singles game also by making me work harder when playing with out top first and second singles. I know I could be helpful to another team due to the leadership skills I learned at Pace.
The game of tennis really means everything to me. I've played tennis all of my life and it really has helped me socialize and meet many new people. I have a great personality and love to have a good time. When a coach sees my ranking they think wow this kid doesn't have a high ranking he must not be so good. The thing is the coaches don't know I practice with all of those kids that have high rankings and play with them every week. Due to the amount of tournaments my ranking is not high but when a coach sees my video they really see wow this kid is pretty good and would have a high ranking if he played abunch of tournaments. I hope coaches look pass my ranking and just look at my strokes and my game play.
